Washi What?!

Hi There,

Washi What?!  That is what I said the first time I heard about it…and am I glad I did.  What a find it was.  It looks and feels like masking tape.  It’s made from natural fibers, such as bamboo, hemp,but mostly from the bark of trees in Japan.  The term Washi tape refers to the fact that the tapes are made from Japanese rice paper known as masking tape. Most washi tapes are strong and functional and very pretty.  They also come in various designs and thickness.  It is an easy way to make anything look pretty.  They are available at most scrapbooking stores or you can buy them online.  I’m going to share some of my favourite ideas with you.  Just click on the links for more information.  Here we go:
